California Glory Flannel Bush

California Glory Flannel Bush

Fremontodendron 'California Glory'

This beautiful evergreen hybrid Flannel Bush features rich, yellow, cup-shaped flowers that cover the shrub from May through August. It can grow to 20ft high and should be planted in the full sun. It is both fast growing and drought tolerant, but should be brought inside in the winter as it is only hardy to Zone 9.

Carolina AllSpice Bush

Carolina AllSpice Bush

Calycanthus floridus

This delightful plant produces maroon-brown flowers at the ends of leafy branches in late spring through early summer. The flowers are lightly scented with a strawberry-like fragrance. Blooms are followed by brownish, pear-shaped capsules that are fragrant when crushed. Deciduous. Carolina AllSpice prefers to be planted in full to part sun and likes moderate watering. It grows up to 10ft tall and up to 5-8ft wide. Hardy in USDA zones 5-9.

White Feather Hosta

White Feather Plantain Lily

Hosta 'White Feather'

This completely unique, new variety of hosta features attention getting creamy white foliage. As it is light coloured, it must have shade to part shade, otherwise the foliage may burn in the light and heat. It grows to a height of 14 inches and spreads up to 24 inches across. Hardy in USDA Zone 3. Available in June - pre-order using our special request form.

Perpetua Blueberry

Perpetua Blueberry

Vaccinium corymbosum x angustifolium 'Perpetua'

The berries themselves are smallish with mild and sweet flavour. The leaves are dark green, somewhat shiny and curly or twisted in the spring and summer. Semi-evergreen foliage turns deep red and green in the winter. New canes are bright yellow and red in winter offering unique interest for containers and gardens.

Southern Moon Yedda Hawthorn

Southern Moon Yedda Hawthorn

Rhaphiolepis umbellate 'RutRhaph I'

Southern Moon Rhaphiolepis is an exceptional, improved selection with proven strong disease resistance combined with a compact, mounding habit. In spring, a profusion of white flowers covers the shrub just prior to the new flush of foliage. Leaves are glossy, deep green with wavy margins. Excellent for foundation plantings. Evergreen. It prefers full to part sun and only occasional watering once established. Hardy in USDA zones 7-10

Crystal Fountain Clematis

Crystal Fountain Ray Evison Clematis

Clematis 'Crystal Fountain'

This striking clematis variety from noted breeder Ray Evison produces masses of amazing double flowers in late spring or early summer and again in late summer. Blooms are shades of purple, lavender, white and green. Its very compact, bushy habit makes it  ideal for the container on a patio or in a smaller garden. Grows only to a height of 6ft. This plant benefits from a light prune in early spring to keep it tidy and clean. Like all clematis it prefers full sun, but with its roots in the shade. Hardy in zones 4-9.

Riesling Pixie Grape

Riesling Pixie Grape Vine

Vitis vinifera Pixie Grapes 'Riesling'

The Riesling Pixie Grape is the worlds first line of dwarf grape vines. These small but precocious plants produce dozens of miniature grape clusters. They are easy to maintain, bit indoors and out. Perfect for the urban patio vineyard. The Riesling variety is a light-skinned aromatice grape originally from Germany. At full size, this plant will be 18-24 inches tall. It prefers full sun and moderate moisture. It is a heavy feeder so fertilizer 2-3 times per year minimum. If necessary, prune in late winter. Hardy to zone 3.

Spiders Web Fatsia

Spiders Web Variegated Japanese Aralia

Fatsia 'Spiders Web'

This desirable rare evergreen shrub has a fine white netting of variegation on the green foliage that changes with the seasons. It is an excellent plant to provide a tropical, lush appearance to an area of shade or part shade. Perfect near the pool or hot tub! It originally from Japan and is easy to grow in most soils. Grows to a height of 60 inches and spreads to 48 inches across. Hardy in USDA zones 7-9.

Dwarf Pomegranate

Dwarf Pomegranate

Punica granatum 'Nana'

Yes, you can grow your own Pomegranates in the Pacific Northwest! This dwarf shrub grows at a moderate pace to a height of 3ft tall with a similar spread. It blooms in late spring through summer with attractive orange-red blooms. Soon thereafter, the blooms transform into dwarf pomegranate fruit! It needs full sun and occasional watering - but increase the watering during bloom time. The plant also provides some deer resistance and offers attractive fall foliage colours. Hardy in USDA zones 7-11.

Wine and Roses Weigela

Wine and Roses Weigela

Weigela florida 'Alexandra'

Wine and Roses is a striking purple-leaved Weigela with abundant hot pink flowers in spring and colourful foliage all summer long. It often reblooms in late summer too! A great plant for a short hedge or mixed border. It prefers moist, but well drained soil in full to part sun. For best appearance, fertilize in spring and prune after flowering. Deer resistant. Grows 4-5ft tall and wide. Hardy in USDA zones 4-8
