March 2021 Delivery Of Bonsai Conifer Trees
It’s mid-March, 2021 and we just got a beautiful fresh delivery of Bonsai at Art’s Nursery. Enjoy our video tour as we show and share a few of our favourites. We will start with the Shimpaku Chinese juniper. This is actually a really well-loved plant for Bonsai. It works really well with the pruning and the bending and you can actually make some glorious specimens.
Our second feature is the Hebe Canadian Hemlock. This is just really amazing. Our fearless leader Rebecca loves her small conifers and collector conifers like Laurelle likes her seeds. We also have these beautiful mini Bonsai Maples, they are exquisite.
Third, is a full Moon maple ready to be bonsaied. These are great for display. They have very unique twisty minimoog pines. They're gorgeous. We have a whole bunch here that we haven't even put away yet.
Fourth, Betty Rose. It's Betty Rose Canadian Hemlock. And I don't know if you can see it. But the new growth comes on almost a pale rose pink. This girl would appreciate a little bit of shade in the afternoon if you are going to use her as a bonsai.
Fifth, and one of Laurelle’s favourites the dwarf Pagoda Japanese Holly. It's just really has an interesting form and quite tiny clusters of leaves.
Conifers are really quite easy care and can be used in a ton of different places. You can bonsai, you can have them in miniature gardens, small space gardens, or even containers. They are just a really easy care and as you can see colourful addition to your garden.
