Japanese Laurel

Aucuba are a group of shade-loving evergreen shrubs highly regarded for their colourful foliage and attractive red berries in late winter and early spring. Berries require the presence of both male and female varieties. Foliage can be all green, speckled, spotted or variegated.

Aucuba, or Japanese Laurels, grow best in moist soils. Spotted and speckled forms do best in part shade otherwise leaf scorching can occur in hot climates.
