  Build It With Terralite
  Save the money of hiring a contractor for your next backyard landscaping project and do-it-yourself. Design and plan your ideal wall then build smooth flowing curves or long straight walls with Terralite. The same unique curved shape of the Terralite block that allows it to rotate also give incredible interlocking strength. Fill each block with crushed rock and the wall gets even stronger with the added weight, making it an efficient mass gravity system. Each Terralite block is designed to stack and interlock without mortar and they do not need a poured concrete foundation. Just imagine how you can use Terralite for your next project and start building!

  Installation Overview

  STEP 1: Prepare A Level Base Dig a trench 6” deep and wide enough to allow for 12” of drainage material behind your wall. Thoroughly compact the soil in the trench and then place a well-draining granular fill in the trench. Compact the granular fill and smooth it out to ensure that it is level. (Note: TERRAFORCE® recommends that you bury 1” of the first course of blocks for every foot of wall height)
  STEP 2: Installing The First Course Place the first course of TERRALITE® retaining wall blocks on the compact base and ensure that each block is level from front to back and side to side. Place a length of drain tile behind the first course of blocks and gently backfill behind the wall with granular fill.
  STEP 3: Installing Additional Courses Sweep any loose debris off the first course of your TERRALITE® wall and place the second course of block on in a running or half lap bond. After placing the TERRALITE® blocks on each row, fill each block and backfill behind the wall with granular fill. Check that each row is straight and level as you proceed.
  STEP 4: Finishing Your Wall On the top course of your wall, you can fill each TERRALITE® block with soil, decorative rock, or cap it with a TERRALITE® wall cap unit.   How Many Terralite Blocks Do I Need?
  The table below gives you approximate block counts for typical wall lengths and heights. A capstone may also be required for each top block depending on the appearance you are trying to achieve.
