Pollinators, Bugs, & Birds, Oh my!

Fall Gardening for Pollinators, Bugs & Birds

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Starts: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - 60mins

Location: Art's Nursery (8940 192nd st.)

Host: Laurelle Oldford-Down

Join us at Art’s Nursery for an informative and entertaining talk with Laurelle Oldford-Down, horticulturist, landscape designer, garden educator, and longtime member of the Art’s Nursery team.

With decades of experience helping people create beautiful and productive gardens, Laurelle will explore the important relationships between plants, pollinators, insects, and birds and how the choices we make in our gardens can help support the wildlife around us.

Learn how thoughtful plant selection and garden practices in the fall can help attract pollinators, provide food and shelter for birds, and encourage the beneficial bugs that help keep our gardens healthy. Laurelle will also share practical ideas that gardeners can use to create a more diverse and wildlife-friendly space! Whether you have a large backyard, a small garden, or just a few containers.

With a background in horticulture and landscape design and more than 30 years spent encouraging people to get excited about gardening, Laurelle brings plenty of experience, stories, and practical advice to her presentations. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just beginning to explore the natural world in your own backyard, this talk is a great opportunity to learn more about the birds, bees, butterflies, bugs, and plants that make our gardens come alive.
