Haskap Berry Information and Varieties

Haskap Berries, also known as Honeyberries are an extremely winter hardy and tasty edible fruit that is finding more and more popularity, especially in colder climates. There are a number of different varieties available.
Some of these include:


Tundra

Tundra Haskap is medium spreading plant that produces early, very firm sweet/tart berries

Borealis

Borealis is a medium thick plant that produces early fruit that is sweet and tangy. Foliage and branches tends to hide the fruit

Indigo Treat

Indigo Treat is medium sized bushy plant that produces early crops of sweet fruit

Indigo Gem

Indigo Gem is medium sized bushy plant with early fruit crops that are sweet and tangy

Indigo Yum

Indigo Yum is another medium sized, bushy plant with early fruit that is sweet and tangy

Honey Bee

Honey Bee is a taller plant that is both early and very productive. Berries are tart. This variety is good for wine making

Aurora

Aurora is a Haskap variety that is tall, upright with an open habit. Berries are sweet, low acid and appear early

Boreal Blizzard

Boreal Blizzard is a tall, upright plant with a bushy habit. Sweet fruit is produced mid season. Low acidity

Boreal Beauty

Boreal Beauty is an excellent variety that produces very late firm fruit. The plant is tall and very upright

Boreal Beast

Boreal Beast is late ripening with an excellent flavour. The plant is tall and bushy
