This is a dwarf form of Pampas Grass. Similar in most other respects to the species, it makes a gracious border plant--upright, fountain-shaped, topped with ostrich-feather blooms in autumn.
Pink Pampas Grass requires a lot of room in the garden. With impressive pink blooms, this ornamental grass is heat tolerant, and it tolerates a wide range of soil. Should be cut back in the landscape each spring before new growth appears.
Showy longitudinal yellow banding on the relatively compact, folded, fountaining leaves. From late summer into fall, large, plumy heads of silvery white male flowers are held well above the foliage.
