Balsam Fir

Abies balsamea

Balsam fir is very similar to the Fraser Fir. both have short needles, a whitish underside, stiff branching and reasonably long needle retention when cut. Balsam fir also has an attractive fragrance when the needles are brushed or bruised

• Undersides of Needles silver, light grey, but less bright than Frasers
• Holds Needles Quite Well
• Often Narrower than Noble, Grand or Nordmann
